The cake is a lie…

Been re-watching Death Note and it’s started to get to me that Light can spend up to 3 whole minutes thinking about his responses to L without saying a word. I think Light is actually a dumb guy who comes out with smart answers after spending 10 minutes thinking about what he is going to say.

If I was L I would get pretty sick of this after a while and… as we all know…the only logical thing to do to a liar is throw cake in their face.

...Why did I automatically think that, when L picked up the cake and was holding it behind his head to take aim at Light, he had simply shoved the whole slice in his mouth?! And somehow, this seemed completely possible to me -- "Oh, L ate a huge piece of cake. Yeah, that's accurate. Oh, wait. No, he just threw it at Light -- L, WHY WOULD YOU WASTE CAKE LIKE THAT?!"
