I wasn't surprised with Dumbledore being gay (I never cared about Dumbledore in any pairing to be honest... but I could have even seen him as asexual... gay didn't surprised me much). However, I think Rowling could have stated/hinted it in the books instead of an interview (he dresses funny isn't a clear hint... everyone can be original without being gay). In the books, you could translate Dumbledore/Grindelwald as a deep friendship and nothing more. However, the interview makes you change your point of view.
go to youtube and watch "A very potter musical." They have the scarf of sexual prefrece. In the second one, the scarf acctally makes an appearence. and dumbledores always trying to come on to snape. FREAKIN HALARIOUS.
aw I luv Dumbledore. And you know what, I knew he was gay, too. Before Rowling's 'announcement' Yep. Since book 6. I was reading the Life and Lies ect. part and thought...Dumbldore's gotta be gay. HAHA! Heard the announment not a month later.
